![]() The International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) was founded in 1987...over a quarter century ago. Some things happening at the conference this year include:
Eric Corey Freed, Principal Architect, organicARCHITECT, who will talk about the need for innovation to make our buildings better.
The market for commercial geothermal systems appears to be growing, with several speakers talking about commercial projects that are planned or have been completed recently. Schools reaching "net-zero" with a GCHP system. See the latest technology in heat pumps, equipment and materials in one place and talk to the people who have been making it happen. IGSHPA Chapters have been formed in Canada and Australia. Discussions about new training workshops that have been developed over the last few years for the Accredited Installer Course and the CGD Course. If you make your living in the industry or if the technology is new to you, this conference is the place to meet the people who have helped create the industry. Be there! Comments are closed.

In my blog I'll be expressing my opinions about what I've the learned about ground coupled heat pump (GCHP) systems over the last 30 years. I've been very fortunate to work with many interesting people who are passionate about this technology...engineers, geologists, mechanical contractors, drillers, excavation contractors...in different parts of the world. I've learned a lot from them and will be using this forum to pass on some of the things I've learned and feel are important. Please feel free to use this information if you feel it's worthwhile...hopefully you can avoid some of the same mistakes I've learned from. Archives
